Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: August 23, 2026 (Version 3.0)
By accessing or using the Irish Fishing Hub platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Binding Agreement
By accessing, browsing, or using the Irish Fishing Hub ("the App" or "the Service"), you establish a legally binding agreement with the owners and developers of the Irish Fishing Hub. If you do not agree, in full, with any portion of these Terms and Conditions—including our liability limitations—you are strictly prohibited from using or accessing this site. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time without prior individual notice; continued use constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
2. Restricted Disclaimer of Liability & Assumption of Risk
Tidal Data & Marine Safety: All tidal charts, weather forecasts, wind speeds, moon phases, and environmental data provided within this application are strictly for recreational and informational purposes. Data is sourced dynamically via third parties (including but not limited to the Irish Marine Institute API) and may be delayed, estimated, or mathematically extrapolated.
Strict Prohibition of Navigational Use: Under no circumstances should the data provided by the Irish Fishing Hub be relied upon for maritime navigation, sailing, swimming safety, or any critical decision-making where property damage, personal injury, or loss of life could occur. You assume 100% of all risks associated with your activities in marine environments.
3. Accuracy of Location & Directory Data
All map pins, including fishing stations, tackle shops, boat slipways, coast guard stations, and community-marked catches, are estimated coordinates provided "as is". We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, accessibility, safety, or legal status (e.g., trespassing rules, private property lines) of any location shown on the map. It is the sole responsibility of the user to verify public access rights and adhere to all local trespass laws before entering any property.
4. Fishing Regulations
You are absolutely and solely responsible for knowing local and national fishing regulations. We make zero warranties regarding any legal guidelines you interpret from this app. If you catch a protected, restricted, or undersized species, Irish Fishing Hub and its developers assume zero liability for any fines, confiscations, or legal action taken against you by fisheries protection authorities (e.g., Inland Fisheries Ireland). You are solely responsible for accurately identifying your catch and adhering to all quotas and size limits.
5. User-Generated Content & Community License
By uploading, posting, or submitting content (including but not limited to photos, catch logs, location coordinates, text comments, club details, marketplace listings, and profile information) to the Community Feed, Clubs, Marketplace, or any other part of the Service, you grant Irish Fishing Hub a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and modify that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.
Content Restrictions: You agree that you will not post content that is: unlawful, defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, spam, fraudulent, or infringes on the intellectual property of others. We reserve the absolute right to delete any content and terminate any user account at our sole discretion, without warning or explanation.
6. Marketplace & Peer-to-Peer Transactions
The Irish Fishing Hub Marketplace is provided strictly as a venue for users to list and discover fishing tackle. We are not a party to any transactions between buyers and sellers, and we do not process payments, guarantee item conditions, or arrange shipping.
Limitation of Liability: You agree that Irish Fishing Hub and its developers hold zero liability for any financial loss, fraud, defective goods, or disputes arising from Marketplace interactions. All negotiations and transactions are conducted entirely at your own risk. We strongly recommend meeting in safe, public locations and using secure payment methods.
7. Clubs & Direct Messaging
The Service provides features allowing users to create public and private Clubs, and to send direct messages regarding Marketplace listings. We reserve the right to moderate, review, or delete any Club, post, or message that violates our Community Guidelines (e.g., hate speech, illegal activities, spam). However, we are under no obligation to monitor all communications. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.
8. Subscriptions, Payments, & Fair Use
Premium features ("Pro Subscription") are processed entirely through highly secure third-party payment gateways (Stripe). We do not store or process your credit card information. Subscriptions are billed automatically on a recurring schedule until cancelled by you through your account settings.
Refund Policy: All subscription fees are strictly non-refundable except where legally mandated by EU distance selling regulations. We reserve the right to modify pricing, suspend features, or terminate accounts for "Fair Use" violations (such as API abuse, account sharing, or automated scraping) without refund. As current our pro plan is free and does not require payment and it will remain that way
9. Severability & Jurisdiction
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
